Far from farewell

The procession is a farewell for the year to goddess Durga and celebrating victory over evil; the undertone of which is still hidden deep within each one of them. Through the year these expressions remain suppressed, some blame political situations while others religion. Intellectuals might call it sociopolitical. But it is only when they have festivals like these, that people cross over these limitations, and express themselves freely like nobody's watching.
